About Me

I’ve loved movies for as long as I can remember. Movies, video games, television shows.  If it had images moving across the screen and those images were telling me a story, then I was all in.  I’m still all in.  I was born in 1982 and quite literally grew up watching Top GunRaiders Of the Lost Arc, Superman, and Empire Strikes Back. As I became older, I began “collecting” movies in my mind, meaning movies go into my head like a vault. My mind palace is a theater where I can rerun all the films I’ve seen, all the video games I’ve played, all the television shows I loved. In my opinion, this kind of obsession with moving images and the stories they tell is something that comes in handy with my profession, which is curating images to tell a story. As a side benefit, this means I quote movie dialogue left and right. I have a ton of cool quotes in my head. I’ll share some with you when we’re working on your project, you can count on it.

After graduating High School, my twenties were spent working on no-budget films. Back then, my fellow filmmakers and I didn’t have enough money to buy a shoestring. I also worked on a lot of we’ll-fix-it-in-post projects.  You’ve probably worked on them too. Projects with players who didn’t quite understand what or how post production worked. The benefit of these many experiences is that I learned 1,001 tricks (meaning skills) to help smooth over rough production mistakes, continuity errors, and all the other difficulties that arise during the shoot. Though, I have to admit at this point in my life, it would be nice not to have to explain that: no, the moon isn’t bright enough to light your night scene. You’ll need three-point lighting with the moon, one car on low beams, and one car on high beams. Just saying.

Listen, films are my passion, and my skillset (which includes screenwriting) is firmly rooted in post production—specifically video editing. I went to a major university film school and graduated with a Bachelors. I look back at those years and classes as primetime to polish my editing skills, color grading, foley design, and audio mixing.

The bottom line for me is simply this: I want to work on and help craft the best projects possible with the most creative people in the business, whoever and wherever you are. Reach out. I’m ready for you. We can do this.
